🏅2025 Silver Medallion Recipient: Shabbir Motorwala🏅

Emerging as a beacon of unity and social justice in Miami, Shabbir Motorwala has dedicated himself to fostering understanding among diverse communities. Throughout his career, he has recognized the importance of creating spaces where individuals from different backgrounds can come together to share their stories, experiences, and perspectives.

His role as a Founding Board Member of the UHI Community Care Clinic reflects his commitment to ensuring equitable access to healthcare for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion. He is also a founding member of the Coalition of South Florida Muslim Organizations where he has actively engaged in interfaith dialogue, creating opportunities for individuals of different religions to connect and collaborate on social justice initiatives.

🏅2025 Silver Medallion Recipients: Vivian Dimond and Alan Dimond🏅

Vivian is a prominent real estate developer in Florida, who also designs and sells jewelry to the community, donating the proceeds to Muslim immigrants. A former President of the Florida Bar and current shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, Alan has been involved at a high level in many charitable and civic organizations across Miami-Dade.

While they both come from completely different upbringings, they are the perfect example of how people with different backgrounds and faiths can come together to not only create a beautiful family, but to also create lasting ripples of impact.

🏅2025 Silver Medallion, Robert H. Traurig Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient: Dr. Marvin Dunn🏅

A trailblazer in our community, champion of Miami and Florida’s Black History, advocate of racial justice, and a seeker of truth and peace, Dr. Dunn is a respected educator, author, and founder of the Miami Center for Racial Justice, Teach the Truth Tours, Teach the Truth Garden in Overtown, and Roots in the City, an urban gardening program in Miami’s inner-city community of Overtown.

Fun fact about Dr. Dunn’s work, The Dunn Collection consists of over 4,000 photographs and images reflecting the history of blacks in Florida.
