MetroTown
Cultivating Tomorrow’s Leaders Today
MetroTown is Mosaic Miami’s flagship youth leadership program designed for high school students across South Florida. This immersive, week-long residential camp focuses on experiential learning and fosters empathy, inclusivity, and leadership among participants.
MetroTown’s curriculum addresses some of our time’s most pressing social issues, including race, gender, socioeconomic disparities, and cultural tensions. Students engage in various hands-on activities, dialogues, and workshops that challenge them to confront their biases, examine stereotypes, and build lasting cross cultural friendships.
A six-day immersive program where high school students across the region unite to engage in activities that stimulate diversity dialogue and cultivate lifelong relationships.
Since 2011, MetroTown has empowered youth to become agents of change, arming them with the tools to promote social justice and equity in their schools and communities. The program is modeled after the national “Anytown” camps, a tradition that began in the 1960s and has since become a national movement. MetroTown is not just a camp but an incubator for Miami’s future leaders. Through self-reflection, team-building exercises, and group discussions, participants leave MetroTown with a deeper understanding of their identity and a commitment to fostering inclusive community environments
