CLERGY DIALOGUE

Since our creation in 1935, MCCJ has organized monthly, interfaith Clergy Dialogues on the theological and social issues facing our diverse community. Faith leaders of all traditions and denominations have worked together to organize inspirational and educational events in the community, offer wisdom and solace in difficult times, and to provide a safe and supportive environment to discuss areas of difference and conflict. In each of its endeavors, the members of the Clergy Dialogue stand in solidarity while promoting tolerance and building community. This tradition not only makes the MCCJ Clergy Dialogue the oldest interfaith dialogue in the United States, but also one of the most effective.

MISSION

MCCJ Clergy Dialogue exists to foster mutual understanding and relationships among varied faith leaders in the Greater Miami area. 

GOALS

·       Build and sustain bridges of understanding, respect and appreciation in our multi-faith and multi-cultural community.

·       Provide opportunities for dialogue, partnership, education, service, hospitality and celebration among faith leaders from different religions, communities and cultures.

·       Cultivate widespread support for interfaith and multi-cultural work in the Greater Miami area.

Out of Many, ONE: Celebrating our Interfaith Community

Each year, the Interfaith Service is offered open to the public, and welcomes anyone who is looking to be moved and inspired. The musical service will have an interfaith choir from a variety of local congregations. Several religious leaders will say a few words in keeping with this year’s theme.
